What are your hours?
We are open for dinner + bar service Friday through Sunday from 5pm to 10pm. On Wednesday and Thursday we are open as a bottle shop, with no dine-in or take-out food. We are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Do you take reservations?
Yes. We accept reservations for parties of 4 to 10 people. They can be made at: www.reservations.aptekapgh.com. Parties of fewer than 4 guests are sat on a walk-in basis only. Reservations are not required for dining in - we hold just a small handful of tables within the restaurant for reservations.
Reservations are booked - can I still dine in?
Yes, the vast majority of the restaurant is available for walk-ins. We're typically on a wait, but make an effort to seat everyone within a reasonable timeframe.
Can I get on the waitlist over the phone?
You must be present at the restaurant to go on the waitlist for a table. Once you arrive, we will take your name and phone number and call you when your table is ready.
Can I order takeout?
Takeout is typically available from 5:30pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, depending on volume. If our kitchen is overwhelmed with orders, we will not offer takeout service. Orders can be placed online at this address: https://app.upserve.com/s/apteka-pittsburgh/
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes - they may be purchased in person during service hours - 12-8 W/Th, 5-10 F-Sun - or online at https://app.upserve.com/s/apteka-pittsburgh/. For online ordering, scroll down to the gift certificate dropdown menu, select the amount you'd like, and please include any notes you'd like included and the mailing address in the special instructions field on the item itself before checking out.
How does the bottle shop work?
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, we're open 12-8 for bottle sales. You can order ahead online or over the phone, or just walk in. There isn't a physical inventory of shelves to browse yourself, but we're here to pick out bottles and help you find what you're looking for. During the weekend, we sell bottles alongside our dine-in service. Let our host know that you're here to pick up retail bottles and they can help you skip the line. If you need to pick something up when we aren't open, don't hesitate to call us!
Do you have gluten free options?
Yes, we always have several items on the menu that are gluten free, and often have several more dishes that can be made GF with minor modifications. All of these items are marked GF on the menus at the restaurant.
What if I have an allergy/ dietary restriction?
For major allergies like nuts and gluten, we have marked our menus to help indicate safe options, but it is still advisable that you make us aware of your allergy so that we can avoid cross-contamination. We try our best to accommodate different allergies/ dietary restrictions- while ordering, it is necessary to inform us what those allergies/restrictions are. Although we list major ingredients in our dishes, components are complex and it is impossible for us to list every ingredient on the menu. If you have specific needs, feel free to email us in advance, and we can answer any questions about the menu.
