Cheverny Rouge
Domaine Tessier was founded in 1961 by Roger Tessier, with his son Philippe taking the reins 20 years later in 1981. They are located in the heart of the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny AOC’s and currently have 23 ha of vines.
The vineyard exists in a microclimate that keeps the vineyards cool, situated between the Loire River and the forest of Cheverny, Chambord and Solonge and has been Ecocert certified since 1998.
-Zev Rovine Selections
We defend peasant, artisanal, honest and sincere viticulture.
A wine must be the expression of the place from which it comes, the reflection of the climatic conditions of the year and a little of the winegrower who produced it, while respecting the life of the soil and the environment. It must give pleasure but above all in the end be healthy, lively and digestible… a natural wine.
Blended wine with a majority of Pinot Noir which brings a spicy and floral note with a dominant almond. The Gamay gives the wine the intense fruitiness (strawberry, cherry, etc.) and the Côt contributes to the structure and the framework.
Blend of Pinot Noir , Gamay and Côt on a siliceous terroir on poor clay. Notes of red fruits, peppery. Fruity, thirst-quenching, fine tannins.
A cuvée to drink within 3 years.

Vinification notes: 15 day carbonic maceration of Gamay, spontaneous fermentation in tanks with indigenous yeasts.
