Our wine prices reflect taxes and fees inflicted on us by the PLCB, which are substantially more damaging than any neighboring state's policies—it's our intention to price everything as affordably as we can within this system. PLCB sucks.

La Porte Dorée

Philippe Tessier

47

Domaine Tessier was founded in 1961 by Roger Tessier, with his son Philippe taking the reins 20 years later in 1981. They are located in the heart of the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny AOC’s and currently have 23 ha of vines.

The vineyard exists in a microclimate that keeps the vineyards cool, situated between the Loire River and the forest of Cheverny, Chambord and Solonge and has been Ecocert certified since 1998.

-Zev Rovine Selections

We defend peasant, artisanal, honest and sincere viticulture.

A wine must be the expression of the place from which it comes, the reflection of the climatic conditions of the year and a little of the winegrower who produced it, while respecting the life of the soil and the environment. It must give pleasure but above all in the end be healthy, lively and digestible… a natural wine.

100% Romorantin: this semi-late, white grape variety that retains a certain acidity often offers a complex aromatic palette in the mineral and floral register with notes of honey, dried fruits, quince and white flowers. Minty finish

The oldest vines 40 to 50 years old. Silico-clay soil on limestone subsoil. Malolactic fermentation. Vinification and aging for 10 months in demi-muids and barrels. Dry wine to drink within 4 to 10 years.
