Cheverny Blanc
Domaine Tessier was founded in 1961 by Roger Tessier, with his son Philippe taking the reins 20 years later in 1981. They are located in the heart of the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny AOC’s and currently have 23 ha of vines.
The vineyard exists in a microclimate that keeps the vineyards cool, situated between the Loire River and the forest of Cheverny, Chambord and Solonge and has been Ecocert certified since 1998.
-Zev Rovine Selections
We defend peasant, artisanal, honest and sincere viticulture.
A wine must be the expression of the place from which it comes, the reflection of the climatic conditions of the year and a little of the winegrower who produced it, while respecting the life of the soil and the environment. It must give pleasure but above all in the end be healthy, lively and digestible… a natural wine.
Blend of Sauvignon dominant for the fruit, Chardonnay for the fat and sometimes Orbois for the vivacity. Delicate, fresh nose, dominated by Sauvignon, aromas of blackcurrant, floral notes (white flowers, peach).
Young vines under 20 years old. Sauvignon , Chardonnay and Orbois. Soil of sand on poor clay. Malolactic fermentation. Vinification and aging in stainless steel vats.
